Ethiopian Wolf by amelia-baxter

I love the technique you have used on the background. The fur of the Ethiopian Wolf looks so detailed and realistic. It's good that you included the shadow of the wolf. As many artists forget to add the shadow of the animal. The colours you have used for the background are beautiful.

But the white you've included is confusing. It kind of looks like clouds. Especially at the back of the photo. It does come across as really pretty though. I'd also say the wolfs muzzle and nose looks a bit blended with the background.

Overall great art piece, well done!!!

Thanks :) The light colour is supposed to be a particular shrub found in the wolf's habitat, for example take a look at this photo: [link]
However it might have been less confusing if I'd stuck closer to the real appearance of the shrubs. Thanks for the feedback, it's always good to hear how other people see my art.

You're welcome:)
Yeah they kind of come across fluffy. Just a little attention can be taken away from the wolf.

No problem, it's good art. Especially of species you don't typically see on DA.=D
